Run2Music

As we look back on the end of the 2020 school year, we find ourselves seeking out new ways to continue to support and fund the programs most important to our students. After the success of our first annual Westview Band Run2Music 5K last fall, we are continuing on with this family-friendly community event… Virtually! Our Virtual Run2Music will take place the weekend of September 26-27. This year, you will have 2 days to complete your 5k, and then post your celebratory finisher pictures on our Race FB page. We will ship race medals and race bibs the week prior. We will also email you a virtual goody bag with offers from our sponsors, and send a link to FREE tickets to several virtual events performed by our talented Westview Musicians. All Race participants and donors will receive the ticket invites.

Our mission is simple: To help keep music education equitable for ALL who want to participate… while remaining small, affordable, and fun!

For more than twenty years, the Award Winning Westview High School Band Program has provided students with the invaluable opportunity to develop a lifelong love of music in a creative, collaborative environment. Our annual budget is funded in part through fundraising activities and the remainder must be paid through band member/family financial participation. WBAPO is proud to fund many scholarships for students through our fundraising efforts.

100% of the Westview Band 5K proceeds will be used to help fund our Yearly General Operating budget for our Band Programs. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Concert Uniforms
• Scholarships for students to participate in extra music programs
• Instrument Repair/Maintenance
• Purchase of new instruments (many are 25 years old...)
• Parade costumes/Supplies
• Instruction by professional Guest Musicians
• So Much More!
