The Weston High School Band program offers students in grades 9 through 12 the opportunity to participate in one of 6 large ensembles. These elective courses promote a further understanding of music through ensemble performance and individual mastery of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. A high level of musicianship is stressed through the study of a variety of musical genre and repertoire, including classic, contemporary, and multicultural band literature. Successful band students are encouraged to continually explore their talents through participation in various ensembles. All band ensembles provide a resource for music experience, and the possibility to reach musical potential.
