About Me

My subjects: Geometry, Algebra 2, Calculus

Education:

I'm originally from Chicago, by way of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I studied as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a B.A. in Mathematics in May 2009. After a period of part-time work in PC repair, I returned to school and received a B.S. in Mathematics Education and and earned my Illinois Professional Educator's License in Math from Northern Illinois University in 2012. While teaching here at Western, I completed my M.S. in Mathematics from the University of West Florida in December 2016; my focus and research were on multivariate statistics.

This is currently my 12th year as mathematics teacher here at Western High School. In my off time, I serve as a cross country and track & field official at all levels, including IHSA/IESA, NCAA, and USA Track & Field. I also work as part-time instructor at John Wood Community College, where my duties include teaching various online math courses to college students as well as dual credit courses to high school students outside of Western.
