The Jazz Ensemble has a focus on building the ensemble and improvisation skills of beginning musicians and those who would like to play on a second (or third!) instrument. While Big Band instrumentation is the foundation for this group, there is opportunity for other instruments to join, and we will develop the group based on the students interested. The group aims to foster a lower pressure environment where less experienced musicians can practice improvisation and learn from our senior students. Often students from this group progress into the Big Band. Please note, this group is subject to numbers.

Rehearsals are Tuesday lunchtimes in F1.
