Itinerant Music Lessons
Music Co-curricular Group registrations will take place in the first 3 weeks of term 1 2026.
To join, either sign up at the Clubs Day early in Term 1 or simply come along for the first rehearsal/meeting and we will take down your name and details. Audition details for Ngā Korimako and any open places in Big Band will be posted in the daily notices early in Term 1 2026.
The following groups are available for students to join:
Concert Band - woodwind, brass, percussion instruments. Rehearses Mondays - 4 - 6pm. Open Entry.
Black & Gold Collective - TB Choir - Open entry - all singers welcome.
Second Line Band - Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones - Rehearses Tuesday Lunchtimes. Open Entry.
Ngā Korimako - SATB Choir (Combined with WGC) - Rehearses Tuesday 4 - 6pm. Auditioned. Auditions will be in first two weeks of term 1. Details will be in the Daily Notices.
Orchestra - strings, woodwind, brass, percussion instruments. Rehearses Wednesdays 4 - 6pm. Open Entry.
Drumline - open to all drummers. Rehearses Wednesday lunchtimes.
Barbershop Chorus - Rehearses Thursday Lunchtimes. Open entry - all singers welcome.
Big Band - Auditioned. Rehearses Thursday 4 - 6pm. (If there is enough interest, we will consider an open entry Jazz Orchestra for 2026. Details in the daily notices early Term 1)
Ukulele Orchestra - open entry. Rehearsal time TBA
Year 9 Rock Bands Programme - guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, singers - open entry. Rehearses Friday Lunchtimes.
There is also opportunity for other groups if there is enough student interest - chamber groups, jazz combos etc. Please discuss with music staff.
Pianists are encouraged to consider orchestra/mallet percussion in Concert Band and/or Orchestra as there is typically only one (if any) piano parts in these groups.
