Language Programs: Within therapy sessions, students receive individualized instruction that may include components of a variety of programs as well as books, iPad apps, games, and other language related activities. Here are links for a few of the programs I use most frequently.

Social Thinking - We use vocabulary related to the Social Thinking curriculum throughout the day (e.g., expected/unexpected behavior, whole body listening, brain and body in the group, etc.). Check out their website for more information, news, and articles related to Social thinking.

Thinking Maps - Thinking Maps are visual patterns that are used to represent 8 different thought processes (e.g., comparing and contrasting, classifying, and sequencing). Thinking Maps are used within many general education classrooms throughout WPS. The maps we use most frequently in therapy sessions are the Circle Map (defining/brainstorming) and the Double Bubble Map (comparing/contrasting)
