Students in grades 3 and 4 learn to play the recorder as part of music instruction. A copy of the notice will be at the bottom of this page.

Also, students in grades 3 and 4 participate in a program called Recorder Karate. Students will need to practice at home to reach the level of mastery required to earn belts. Each child is required to earn a minimum of five belts (there are nine belts total). Details about the program, expectations, and grading rubrics may be found in the notices attached to the bottom of this page (Will be posted once the unit is being taught).
