About Ms. Perry

Ms. Karen Perry-Kaplan received an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master's Degree from Cambridge College. She is a certified K-12 Physical Education and Health teacher, as well as, a Certified Supervisor/Director K-12. She has been a state-rated Volleyball Official since 1988 and she served as President of the Boston Board of Officials from 1990-1995. Additionally, Karen has been an elite/national rated Gymnastics Judge since 1972. Being inducted into the Northeast Agenda Hall of Fame for Girl's Women's Sports 2019 was one of the highlights of her career. She was honored for both her teaching and officiating career.

Ms. Perry-Kaplan has taught high school, junior high school, middle school and elementary school for the Wellesley Public Schools. She has coached field hockey, gymnastics and tennis at Wellesley High School. She volunteers for Special Olympics and the Bay State Games. Her favorite pastimes include family, biking, working out, walking and relaxing on the beach with friends. She looks forward to finishing a successful teaching career, learning how to play the piano, traveling, and enjoying her three grandchildren.
