YOU CANNOT USE HW PASSES!
Every night, read at least 25 minutes.
Your need to focus first on reading the required amount for your book club.
Once you have completed that, you can read your independent book.

You need to complete two responses each week (in time for your book club meeting) as well as any other assignments you are given. I will not be checking your responses each morning - instead, I will check them at your book club meeting.
READING RESPONSE FOCUS (Unless told otherwise)
Jot down an idea/observation (your own debatable, unique idea about your book). Remember, this is YOUR insightful, meaningful idea about what you read.
You must then use textual evidence to support your thinking, including a transition. THIS MUST BE A DIRECT QUOTATION!
You must then explain how your evidence supports your debatable, unique idea. This must also include a transition.
Your response must be at least 4 DETAILED sentences (the textual evidence you use only counts as one sentence)
