Ceramics II
Welcome to our Ceramics II page. Our first Major Project is a tea set. Here is a student example from last year
At the beginning of the semester we will be working hard to create a tea set.
Japanese Tea Set
Japanese tea sets are typically smaller and more delicate than those from other countries, and are often made of ceramic or porcelain. They are used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies and typically include a teapot, tea cups, and a tray to hold all of the pieces.

Chinese Tea Pots
Chinese tea sets are known for their ornate, intricate designs and are often made of ceramic or porcelain. They are used in traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and may include additional items such as a gaiwan and a cha hai. Gaiwan means bowl and lid. Cha hai means "sea of tea" and is a vessel that serves to control the strength of the brew.
