To multiply decimals you can ignore the decimal point altogether. After you have multiplied the numbers you can include the decimal point. In the problem below you are multiplying hundredths by hundredths. Your answer will be effected by the 100th x 100th and will be in the 10,000ths (2 digits in each factor means the answer will have 4 decimal digits)
