Literacy

We use guided reading and Lucy Calkins for reading and writing instruction. Raz-Kids and Epic are wonderful at-home resources to support reading. Please encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes each night. This can be a combination of independent reading, listening to reading and partner reading.

Fundations

The curriculum begins with lowercase letter formation and letter sounds. As each unit goes on, students learn a variety of trick words and vocabulary words. Click on each type of word to view the word list for first grade.

Math

Our primary math curriculum is Eureka Math. We adapt and modify as needed to meet district and state standards. You can visit their parent support page here.
