5th Grade
The art curriculum at WGSD aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding and application of visual arts in their daily lives. Through engaging in diverse art activities, students will explore cultural diversity, nurture creativity, and develop a deeper understanding of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. By honing their art skills and techniques, students will be equipped to create their own artwork and prepare them for more advanced techniques to be next level ready. In 5th grade, students will focus on units such as drawing, printmaking, painting, sculptures, fiber, mixed media and technology, allowing them to apply these skills and techniques they learn throughout the year.
