You are proactive. If you forget what an assignment is, you look it up or ask a friend. If you don't understand a topic, you read more about it and attempt to learn it on your own.
You can prioritize and organize your responsibilities. You create to do lists and schedules, make calendar events and reminders, and set aside time for homework and studying every night.
You eliminate distractions while in school and home. You keep your cell phone, TV, and any devices away when you are working.
You take pride in your work. You give it your best effort, take the time to do an assignment well and then check it over.
You are self-reflective. You understand that mistakes are opportunities for growth and you take the time to figure out what you got wrong and you learn from these mistakes.
You advocate for yourself. When you are confused and you've attempted to learn it on your own, you then reach out to your peers and teachers. We are here to help!
