CYOA - Choose Your Own Adventure
These Choose Your Own Adventures are "mini-projects" and will be used in a variety of ways. It may be counted as a homework, classwork, or project grade depending on how much is being assessed. These are creative ways to show your knowledge about a topic we are studying.
To the right, you will see the three levels of point values (5, 10, 20) and how long it typically takes to complete an assignment in each level. For example, an acrostic poem (5 points) will take less time than a radio broadcast (20 points)!
For each time we do a CYOA you will need:
- Print out the" CYOA planning sheet" (link below) and turn it in with the assignment(s).
- Choose from the list below in the Google Doc (scroll through the 7 pages of choices!). Click on the name to get specific instructions on how to complete the assignment.
- Make sure you completed ALL the instructions of the assignment. Ask if you're not sure about the what the instructions are saying.
There are three different point value assignments:
5 Point Assignments
20-30 minutes to complete
10 Points Assignments
45-60 minutes to complete
20 Point Assignments
90-120 minutes to complete
40 Point Assignments
Up to 4 hours to complete
