About Me

Hello everyone!!!

I wanted to let everyone know why I am so excited to be teaching here at Visitation.  I was born and raised in Marrero.  My father and all of his siblings went to Visitation.  His class was the first graduating class that went from first to eighth grade.  My family has always been involved in the community helping out at the church and fair.  My mother was a teacher in the Language Lab for the sixteen years.  I went to Visitation for Kindergarten through eighth grade. I graduated in 1997. Some of the friendships that I formed while at Visitation are still strong in my life.  So, needless to say Visitation has been a part of my life forever.

This will be my fiftieth year here at VOL.  I taught 2nd grade for four year and then moved to fourth grade. I am excited to be teaching fourth grade again this year.  This will be a growing year for all of us.

I attended Archbishop Blenk High School and graduated from there in 2001. I graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in May of 2010 with my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education.

I married the love of my life, John Cassreino in 2006. We were blessed with the birth of our son, Emmett John, on May 3, 2011.  He will be in 8th grade at SHAW this year.  Our second blessing, Emma Rose arrived on November 14, 2013.  She will be in 5th grade this year. We adopted a new member to our family, Charlie. He is a mixed breed puppy that is keeping us on our toes. You could say we are a "Happy Little Family".
