Homework and Reminders

***EVERYDAY REMINDERS***
- EVERYDAY: please bring a snack and water, books to read, sharpened pencils with erasers, and your best attitude and work-ethic :)
- If a child is going home in a different manner than usual, please bring in a note/or email me. If you are taking home another student(s) OR are having another student take your child home, I need notes/emails from any family involved in the dismissal to confirm that everyone is aware of the dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation with this procedure.

Welcome to 5th grade!!!
Thank you for choosing to send you child(ren) to Visitation!!! It was a great and busy day, today! Last Thursday and this week, students received a few handouts - please check their portfolios/folders. We are organizing all of our materials and discussed about our 5th grade schedules, procedures, etc.

Due Dates:

ALL WEEK - pack your lunch while the cafeteria is closed
ASAP/Wed, 9/2  - the colored packet of forms, emergency card, and school/cleaning supplies

Fri, 9/11 - any "First week homework" Google Classroom surveys & assignments
ASAP - if you have not brought in cleaning supplies and other school materials yet, bring them in as you can this week. Thank you so much for this!

Homework:
Optional highly recommended, if possible - contact cover all other workbooks

GOOGLE CLASSROOM - sign on/accept 5th grade Google Classroom invitation. Read through/complete "First Week Homework" surveys, How To's, assignments, materials, etc and the "Important Info" tab
Goals - finish My Goals paper, About Me triangle, and Anti-Bullying contract - due Friday, 9/11

ART - Please label the art coverup/smock with name and include it in a storage bag (a large ziplock will do just fine).  Please let Ms. Elken know if you have any questions.

ELA  - bring in your summer reading books
- please check Ms. LaLonge's teacher website 

MATH - Grocery store circulars/newspapers due 9/9 (will discuss in class on Thursday/Friday)
- practice x-facts 1-12

RELIGION - Please practice responses, singing, and prayers at Mass with your children. We try to stress the importance of participating at Mass to spiritually feed our souls. We ask your assistance with this during family time at Mass to ensure a consistency for the beauty and reverence at Mass. Thank you :)
