Pass out milk at state tournaments- Harrison Jansen van Beek Middleton FFA
On February 16th, we handed out milk for the State 3A Girl’s Basketball tournament at Middleton High School. I worked the quarterfinals games, so I handed out milk for games 1, 2, 3, and 4 and worked from 1 P.M.-9 P.M. We passed out 250 milks per game, or 1000 milks for the entire time. For each game, we tried to make sure that everybody had a chance to get some milk, so we would put out 200 for the pregame and restocked with 50 for the half.
I had a lot of fun promoting dairy through passing out the milk, and it was a really good experience to talk to people from all over the state who were watching the games. It is one of the best promotion campaigns in Idaho, and I know everyone that I talked to was looking forward to seeing us there.I would definitely do it again.

During my shift on the milk drive my interpretation was that I got to hand out milk to family/friends and to fellow districts. During my shift I wore my milk t-shirt along with my fellow FFA members. When I was handing out milk to people they were very gracious about getting free milk in fact they would often ask if the milk coast anything and they were very happy to find out that the milk was free. My take on the milk drive was very wonderful I think that people are happy with getting milk and my fellow chapter members and I were happy with helping our fellow districts out.
