Bio

Mr. Haines is excited to begin his seventh year at H.B. Whitehorne! He graduated from The College of New Jersey with a B.A. in History-Secondary Education, and in 2021 earned his M.Ed. from TCNJ's Regional Training Center. 

Aside from school Mr. Haines has a variety of interests. He competed in Men's Gymnastics from ages ten to eighteen. In college, he ended his competitive gymnastics career in favor of whacking people with swords, so he joined TCNJ's club fencing team, where he fenced sabre all four years of college. Mr. Haines is also avid outdoorsman, and enjoys hiking, backpacking, and camping, due to his participation in the Boy Scouts as a youth.

Even though Mr. Haines is not an English teacher, he really likes to read! In the sidebar you will find a list of books that Mr. Haines enjoyed in his youth, that he would love to convince you to read.
