Personal

I have been teaching in Vallivue for the last twelve years! I graduated from Boise State University. I grew up in Idaho and I am thrilled to be able to teach in my home state. I have been married to my beautiful wife for thirteen years and we have been blessed with three children. I graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from NNU. As an educator, I embrace the opportunity to inspire and help guide students’ lives. I look forward to preparing each day to teach my students and help them develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Educational Philosophy

I am eager to get to know each of your children as individuals and learners. I will work to establish a learning community. I believe students need to feel cared for, accepted, and respected within their learning environment. I have high expectations for all my students and I will do all I can to help them realize those expectations. I expect every student in my class to be fully prepared, engaged, and participating in their education on a daily basis.

The success and well-being of your child’s education is always my first concern, and I am excited to help broaden their knowledge and understanding throughout all academic areas. The rules and consequences are simple in my classroom and are in place to give everyone in the class the greatest possible opportunity for educational, emotional, and social growth.

I welcome all parent volunteers in our classroom. Parents are vast sources of knowledge and experience. Having you come into the classroom will show the students how important and relevant learning is to their future success.
