Welcome to Room 13! This year will be a year of many transitions from elementary to middle school. In preparing for the changes for sixth grade and beyond, your help is needed

• Enforce a quiet study/work time each evening so that your child accepts responsibility and completes his/her homework appropriately and on time.

• Insist that your child read every night

• communicate high expectations regarding academic grades, homework expectations, behavior, etc.

• Praise and encourage your child for his/her efforts.

• Most important, please encourage your child to complete work and redo any below standard assignments

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me. Unless it is an emergency, I would appreciate a note or phone call requesting a meeting time so that I will be able to give you and your child my undivided attention.
