2024, Seventh grader, Emma Shifflett was honored for winning the American Legion Middle School Essay Contest at the school, post, district, and department levels. Emma, her English Teacher, Mrs. Powers and the school received monetary gifts. The topic of the essay was “I love living in America Because…” Thank you Mike Mosko, Madison American Legion Post and Nan Coppedge.
