In my rare moments of spare time I enjoy listening to and playing music. I play guitar, and have played lead guitar for several bands, including Dead Tongues (the Stanford Linguistics Department band), Gavagai (the University of Texas at Austin Linguistics Department band), and most recently Musical Malpractice. I also enjoy cooking, reading about politics and history, and spending time with my wife Janice Ta and our two children.
