Dear 1A Families, August 12, 2024
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Teresa Nash and I am very excited to be your child’s First grade teacher this year. I grew up in Whitewater, graduated from Remington High School, and completed my Associate’s degree of Science at Butler Community College. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Friends University. I have also received my state ESL certification. I am married to John and we have three children; Jessica (Evan), Kevin, and Katie whom all also grew up and graduated in the Remington district. In my spare time I LOVE spending time with my granddaughter Makenna, gardening and spending time with my family at the lake. I have previously taught Pre-School and Kindergarten.
This summer was very busy for me. John and I traveled to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. It was absolutely beautiful and we saw so much wildlife. We also spent some time at Beaver lake with some family boating, skiing, and swimming. The rest of the summer was spent playing with my granddaughter and canning salsa. I will be getting a new grandchild in October and am so excited.
I have taken on a couple of additional roles this year. I am ESL Coordinator and working on the yearbook for RES. I am very excited and nervous about these roles and it is going to be a definite learning curve.
