Pepsi's version of a Dark cherry soda is called Doc.
The old fashioned classic Dr. Pepper manufactured by Coca-Cola.

Today I will be writing about the comparison between two pops, Dr. Pepper and Doc. Both of these products are a dark soda that has a cherry flavor. Both drinks have red on their bottle. Both have similar caffeine levels but Doc does have more. I will be drinking both of them and having a taste test. I will be comparing them by six different tests:
Flavor
Smell
Color
Graphics on the bottle
Price
Nutritional Value
Doc’s overall appearance was way better than Dr. Pepper. Doc tasted more like cherry than Dr. P. Between the two bottles, Doc had more fizz. Doc costs $1.25. Doc may be named after Doc Holiday, an historical figure best known for his involvement in the shoot-out at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. Doc also contains 60 milligrams of caffeine. Doc is way cheaper than Dr. P. Doc is manufactured by Pepsi. Doc, being new to the market, is really hard to find and is not in many stores yet.
Dr. Pepper smells better. Dr. Pepper, which is manufactured by Coca-Cola, costs a whopping $2.19 for just a 16 oz. bottle. Dr. P has more of a vanilla flavor. Dr. Pepper has been around for years and is fairly easy to find because it has been around for so long. Dr. Pepper has 23 different flavors in it, including cola, cherry, licorice, almond, vanilla, blackberry, apricot, (blackberry again), caramel, pepper, anise, sarsaparilla, ginger, molasses, lemon, plum, orange, nutmeg, cardamom, all spice, coriander, juniper, birch and prickly ash. Dr P was made in 1885 in Waco, Texas by a pharmacist.
When comparing the two, I found Doc to taste more like cherry and Dr pepper more like vanilla. I found that Dr. Pepper was a whole lot easier to find as well. Dr. Pepper was more expensive but the taste is just so much better in my opinion. In conclusion I think Dr. Pepper is the better pop.
