Cookies are made to amaze your mouth. The right kind of cookie can be a delicious treat exploding on your tongue. I made two types of cookies, chocolate no-bake cookies and peanut butter no-bake cookies. I had everyone in the Journalism 1 class try them out, and well, everyone had something to say about the looks, textures, and overall taste.
I had everyone in the Journalism 1 class, (Jayden Owen, Tabin Clary, Kyila Hollister, Brooklynn Drake, Lucas Edie, and Mrs. Taylor), try out each kind of cookie. I had them assess the looks, textures, and overall tastes.
No one said they disliked either kind of cookie, but everyone had their definite favorite. More people voted that their favorite was the chocolate; however, it was only by one vote.
According to Jayden Owen, Tabin Clary, Kyila Hollister, Brooklynn Drake, Lucas Edie, and Mrs. Taylor, the chocolate cookies at first glance had a better appearance. They had an edgy look to them. They were chewy with the perfect amount of chocolate. They were softer, smelled good, felt and tasted moist, were not crumbly or dry, were very palatable, and oh-so-delicious.
The peanut butter cookies did not look as good, however, according to the taste-testers, they were amazingly delicious, with the perfect amount of peanut butter, and had an amazing texture.
Kyila Hollister said, “They don’t taste like a slap in your face.”
The recipes were very similar; however, one major difference is that the peanut butter cookies cooled a lot faster than the chocolate cookies did. The difference in the ingredients is that the chocolate cookies do not need any peanut butter, and they have one more teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Whereas, the peanut butter cookies have peanut butter, but only one teaspoon of vanilla extract. The steps of adding ingredients were a little bit different. The peanut butter cookies have you mix the vanilla, oats, and peanut butter first, but the chocolate cookies have you mix these ingredients in after you have brought the others to a boil one at a time.
The peanut butter cookies recipe made a few more, but I think that you could measure that with how much you put in too! Both recipes were quite easy to make overall, and the taste had good results.
So overall the chocolate cookies had a better outcome than the peanut butter cookies. Both cookies were great, though, and you can make either one in your house, and don’t even need an oven! If you’re ever wondering which ones to make, make them both!
