I love reading and sometimes I feel like when you read a book you can’t fit enough information about all of the characters into one book, or when you feel like the author has a rushed or unfinished ending to a story. This is why so many of my favorite books are series/parts of a series. I am going to tell you today some of my favorite things about the series of books.
First with a series of books you get to know the characters and that gives the author more time to reveal parts of the background of the characters. I also like when the main character has a secret and towards the end of the book the secret is revealed. The authors also drop new characters in the second or third books that change parts of the plot which you never saw coming.
Second, often I feel when you only have one book, the author could have expanded on some of the scenes or gone deeper into the personal life. I also feel like with so many books there is just a giant cliffhanger at the end of the book and there is no second part of the book.
Some of my favorite series are “The Lunar Chronicles,” which are twists on fairy tale characters such as Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood. Second, I really enjoyed the “Let The Sky Fall” series By Shannon Messenger. It is an adventure about the main character Vane stepping into his role as king after his whole world was turned upside down and inside out. Shannon Messenger has also written another series called the “Keeper of the Lost City.” I have not read these yet but will be starting on them soon.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don’t like to be bored. I am always having to be doing something. My favorite thing to pass time is reading. Some people hate to read, but I, for one, would not be able to survive without my books.
I love filling my free time with books. Most of the time I read fiction. I love the feeling of getting so into a book that it feels real, the feeling of getting to know the characters as they evolve and I get to know their secrets and backgrounds.
Some of my favorite books are the ones that change from one character’s perspective to another character’s perspective because I feel like I am able to get to know each of the characters on a more personal level and to know how they are actually feeling and not just the emotions they are showing.
I especially like it if the perspective shifts to the villain, so I am able to more clearly see how they got to the place they are and why they feel like they have to do whatever evil schemes they have been plotting and why they hate who they hate.
I know some people do not like reading and think that it is boring and a waste of time, but if you find the right kind of books and the right sjbject to read about I am sure you will find reading quite fun. So next time you walk through the library, maybe take a look and see if there is anything that might interest you!
