This Buck is a deer that I call “Youngin.” He is a 2 year old eight point buck. He appeared on my trail cameras early last year and has been on our land ever since.
I saw him Saturday morning roaming with a bigger buck and he got spooked off by something in the woods behind me. I look forward to seeing this deer develop, and I think he will be a great buck next year.

Normally, I spend my free time hunting, but I have started a new hobby of just going out and watching bucks like this. It is amazing to be out in nature and watching young bucks, fawns, and turkeys fool around.
I spend about two or two and a half hours hunting whenever I can. I could have shot this buck, but he is young and could get bigger. I think some hunters make their decision about shooting a deer before they even see it, so when the time comes it is to late and they have already made the shot.
This is my experience with young deer.
