Many students at DWHS have pets. Out of 33 students who responded to a survey, 93.9% have some type of pet and only 6.1% of students don’t. These pets include turtles, birds, dogs, cats, goats, horses, ducks, cows, pigs, guinea pigs, and chickens.
The most common pet among the students is a dog and the second most common is a cat. 48.2% of students have a dog and 26.8% of students have a cat.
About 60.6% of students bought their pets, while the other 39.4% of students either rescued or were given their animals by a friend.
Student Aly Gobin, sophomore, has a rescue cat. “He loves getting attention since he was probably badly treated before he was rescued,” said Gobin.

Hi! My name is Ava Gladhart and it seems you've stumbled onto my page. I'm a freshman at DWHS this year and I'm involved in FFA, volleyball, basketball, cheer, dance, the fall play, and I'm a member of the KAY Board. I really like to stay busy and be involved as much as I can. Some of my favorite things to do include hanging out with my friends and family and going to the lake in the summer.
