Across the curriculum, we implement an immersion approach from the onset of a student's language learning experience at Urban. Beginning in level one, students receive comprehensible input in the target language, and Urban teachers build to a fully immersive experience by level two. As language professionals, Urban faculty understand that in order for students to be successful, they have to use the target language in a meaningful and authentic manner.
With ubiquitous access to technology, we are able to create blended learning solutions with multimedia materials in which students challenge themselves when doing homework on their own. When in class, students are fully engaged in the target language with their peers on interpersonal and communicative projects.
