University of Puerto Rico at Humacao:

  • FISI 4057 (3 credit hours) - Physics Course. Includes the subjects of temperature, first and second law of thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, and Maxwell-Boltzmann statistics.
  • FISI 3011 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics Course. Includes the subjects of dynamics, energy and gravity.
  • FISI 3012 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics Course. Includes the subjects of electrostatic force, electromagnetism, waves and modern physics.
  • FISI 3013 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics Laboratory. The course involves carrying out experiments in mechanics, heat and sound.
  • FISI 3014 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics Laboratory. The course involves carrying out experiments in electromagnetism, optics and modern physics.
  • CIFI 3001 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to the Physical Sciences. Includes the subjects of motion, gravitation and laws of conservation.
  • CIFI 3002 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to the Physical Sciences. Includes the subjects of thermodynamics, electromagnetism and astronomy.
  • ASTR 3001 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Astronomy Course. Includes the subjects of celestial mechanics, relativity and the history of astronomy.
  • ASTR 3002 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to Astronomy Course. Includes the subjects of quasars, the "Big Bang" and life in the cosmos.

  • PHY 104 (4 credit hours) – Introduction to Earth and Space Science. Includes the subjects of rocks and minerals, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, atmosphere and climate, our solar system, and the universe.


Ohio University:

  • PHYS 201 (5 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics. Includes the subjects of mechanics of solids and liquids, oscillations, heat and thermodynamics.
  • PHYS 202 (5 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics. Continuation of PHYS 201. Includes the subjects of electricity, magnetism, waves and sound.
  • PHYS 203 (5 credit hours) - Introduction to Physics. Continuation of PHYS 202. Includes the subjects of light, relativity, quantum, atomic, and nuclear physics.
  • PSC 105 (3 credit hours) - Introduction to the physical nature of light and sound. Includes the subjects of transmission, absorption, reflection, interference, and resonance.
  • ASTR 100 (4 credit hours) - Introduction to Astronomy. Includes the subjects of historical astronomy, the Sun, stars and galaxies, interstellar matter, black holes, the Big Bang theory, and the evolution of the universe.
