Outline Biography

Suhair Safwat Hashim is an Assistant Professor at the University of Sulaimani/ College of Languages/ Department of English. I worked as an advisor in the department of certificate evaluation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for 7 years. I hold an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Linguistics/ Pragmatics from the University of Baghdad. I have published many papers and a book concerning Pragmatics. I have been teaching Linguistics, Grammar, Phonetics and Phonology, and Semantics at the University of Baghdad, Almustansirya University and Al- Maamoun College since 1999. Now I am teaching at the University of Sulaimani/ School of Languages/ Department of English. I also have supervised different research papers.

My research interest includes the following fields;

1. Pragmatics

2. Discourse Analysis

3.Semantics

4. Everything related with Linguistics.
