Academic Profile

Outline Biography:

      I was born at the Penjwen town (Sulaimani city) in 1981. I started preparatory school in Kurdy School for boys when I was 6 years old. Next, I finished Secondary School in Jimhuri School. Unfortunately, I have been interrupted from study by bad situation of our country, but I have then started again and I finished Preparatory level at Sulaimani school in 2002. Then, I have accepted in University of Sulaimani, and after 4 years, I have awarded Bachelors degree of Science (B.Sc) in Geology, and I gained third position among thirty-five student. After that, I have accessed to work as demonstrator in Geology Department of Sulaimani University in the years between 2006-2010. The work was involving teaching Practical Geology (for instance: general geology, geosoftware, geomorphology, stractural geology ,... etc.) in the laboratory. Beside this, I also supervising a team of students during geological summer field trip at that moment. In 2011, I have accepted in Sulaimani university as a master student, then hopefully in 2014, I have obtained master degree (M.Sc) in Organic Geochemistry by "excellent" degree. The title of my master thesis is: “Source Rock characterization and Biomarker distribution of Sargelu Formation (Middle Jurassic), Miran Oil Field, Kurdistan region, NE-Iraq”.

      After being a part of academic teaching staff in Department of Geology as M.Sc holder, I have experienced practical teaching of Petrology and Geochemistry for academic year 2014 and 2015.  In the meanwhile of teaching, I also supervising the Library of School of Science at the University of Sulaimani. My research interest focused on Organic geochemistry, petroleum geochemistry, source rock evaluation, source rock-oil and oil-oil correlation, and biomarker distribution within source rocks. I have one published article about source rock evaluation, and going to publish some other articles in mentioned field. I also a good computer user, especially those software which are related to the designing and plotting. among those softwares that I have experience on: Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Abobe Photoshop, adobe Illustrator, Coral DRAW, Auto CAD, Golden software products (Grapher, Surfer, Strater). Regarding to the laboratory instrument, I also worked on GC-MS (Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry). During my academic duty, I participated from several training courses which are relevant to my field, as well as I have attended in many seminars, workshops, and conference in our university. 

      Beside academic interest, I am also not far from as they said "Visual Art". I have experienced for more than 15 years of Calligraphy (Visual art related to writing), and I participated for many national and international Calligraphic competition. I have also attended in almost calligraphic activity in Kurdistan region, especially Sulamani City. Also I  am a member of Calligraphy since 2008.
