Outline Biography

Rasul Rafiq was born in Sulaimani, Kurdistan-iraq in 1982. He received the BSc. degree in the Horticulture Department, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences from Sulaimani University, Kurdistan-Iraq, in 2004, and the MSc degree in (Pomology)Plant propagation at Horticulture Department, in 2011. and the PhD degree in (Evergreen Fruit Production)Plant propagation at Horticulture Department, in 2024.

In 2004, he joined the Department of Horticulture , University of Sulaimani, as a Research assistant and Demonstrator, and in 2011 became an assistant lecturer. Since that time, he has been with the Department of Horticulture , College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences.

Research Interests

My research interest includes the following fields;

1. fruit tree propagation

2. budding on fruit tree

3. grafting on fruit tree

4. plant propagation
