Outline Biography

I graduated with BDS Dentistry in 2005 from College of Dentistry, University of Sulaimani. Following graduation, I completed Dental Vocational Training prior to working as Assistant Researcher in Conservative department for 1 year within College of Dentistry. I have been closely involved in research and teaching in Conservative over this period of time. I obtained MSc and PhD degree at same college in 2012 and 2020.

I teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate dental students both clinically and academically. I have contributed in all aspects of teaching including lectures, small group teaching, clinical supervision and, examination organising and marking.

To promote oral health as an integral component of overall health through outstanding experiential and evidence-based learning and patient treatment, grounded in a culture of care for the diverse communities we serve, and driven by innovation, impactful research, and strong inter-professional collaboration.

To be a recognized leader in the advancement of oral health and overall health through an integrated and innovative approach to education, research, and patient treatment, including outreach that provides a comprehensive student experience within and for our diverse local, national, and global communities.
