Outline Biography
Barween Othman Qader, an assistant professor, and I’m currently working as Department of Earth sciences and petroleum at the University of Sulaimani since 1999. I have 25 years of experience working in the field of sedimentology and stratigraphy teaching. I joined the department of Earth sciences and petroleum at the college of science as a demonstrator in 1999, and I awarded MSc and PhD from the University of Sulaimani in the field of sedimentology and stratigraphy. I have eight published papers. I enjoy reading, and the knowledge and perspective that my reading gives me has strengthened my teaching skills and presentation abilities. I participated in many conferences, workshop and training courses inside and outside of Iraq.
Research Interests
My research interest includes the following fields:
1. Petrographic study of clastic and nonclastic rocks
2. Identification types of diagenesis process
3. XRD analysis
4. Separated type of heavy mineral
5. Facies analysis for carbonate rocks
6. Strontium isotope dating
7. Biostratigraphy
8. Grain size analysis
