Academic Profile

I joined University of Sulaimani following a career in clinical nursing in the field of acute and critical care in 2009, in particular Burn and Trauma care. Initially, my role was to deliver clinically focused education across a range of programs and disciplines. Since then I have been involved in a broad range of activities in teaching and research. In teaching, this has included the development of undergraduate programs in critical care and advancing practice. My research interests are mainly in the Patient's right and their involvement in the health system in primary prevention services. Additionally, I have been involved in an international nursing workshop at the University of Sheffield in 2015. 

 I have got a huge range of teaching experiences. I can find myself to exercise teaching methods at a high quality. This has been obtained through squiring information from different fields. For instance, in the very beginning, I was involved in a community group teaching aimed at health awareness and education. Following this, I participated in short course staff to increase the level and quality of care for the healthcare providers in Sulaimani city. Additionally, there was a great opportunity for me to acquire up to date information and experiences from a developed country such as the UK particularly when I got a chance to finish my academic study (MSc in Medical Science/ Advancing Practice) 

I am currently holding PhD. degree in community Health Nursing at university of Sulaimani.
