Outline Biography

I was born in Sulaimani on 15/7/1963. I finished my primary teaching at Al-Zewar Primary School, my intermediate teaching at Azadi School, and my Secondary Schooling at Azmir Secondary School. Furthermore, I was accepted into the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad from 1981 to 1987. After graduation, I finished my internship at Sulaimani. I served in the Military from 1988 to 1991.

I was accepted to the Iraqi Board for Medical Specialization—Ministry of Higher Education from 1991 to 1995. During this period, I also got a High Diploma In Internal Medicine from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad.

Since 1995, I have taught as a lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Sulaimani.

In 2007, I was promoted to Assistant Professor of Medicine.

In 2009, I was Accepted as a Member of the European Association for Studying Diabetes(EASD)

2012, the Royal College of Physicians awarded me FRCP (London).

Also, In 2102, I was promoted by the Ministry of Health as a Consultant Gastroenterologist.

In 2013, I was accepted as a Member of the American Association for Studying Liver (AASLD).

Since 13-1-2013, I have been promoted to professor of medicine.

Research Interests

 research interest includes the following fields;

1. Hepatology

2. Diabetes Mellitus 

3. Obesity and Dyslipidemia
