My Philosophy and Vision of Teaching and Academic Life

Today, the world lives in a frenzied race to acquire the largest possible amount of accurate knowledge, which is derived from the sciences that lead to progress, sophistication, and prosperity. Scientific knowledge is undoubtedly a key to success and development towards excellence, as it is essential for humans. This is because knowing the facts helps him to understand the issues and issues he faces in his working life, whereby, with the information that a person gets, he can learn to overcome the obstacles that prevent him from achieving his desired goals, as well as know how to frame the strategies that allow him the ability to perceive mistakes and take new measures that enable him to achieve his wishes in life; also, he can achieve what he desires using his intelligence and knowledge to uncover many phenomena that he is unaware of.

From the above narrative, I see that academic institutions in Iraq in general and in the Kurdistan Region in particular (for example, Sulaimani University) should be more interested and keen towards providing the necessary support (financially and morally) to make their researchers (academic, students and professionals) more capable and skilled in manufacturing the sober scientific researches. This is in light of what scientific research occupies a prominent place in the progress of the scientific renaissance and its development through the contribution of these researchers with their innovative addition to the stock of human knowledge. Academic institutions are the main centres for this vital scientific activity; this is their primary function in encouraging scientific research and stimulating scientific incentives for the student so that he can do this task to the fullest.

Furthermore, scientific research is one of the most complex aspects of intellectual activity. Universities and other academic institutions in Iraq in general and in the Kurdistan Region, in particular, must make tremendous efforts in training students and professionals to master the scientific research industry during their studies to enable them to acquire research skills that enable them to add new knowledge to the stock of human thought. It is also preferable that these academic institutions work to demonstrate the ability of the student in scientific research by collecting and evaluating information and presenting it in a sound scientific manner in a clear framework, demonstrating the ability of the interested student to follow the correct methods for research and issuing critical judgements that reveal his scientific level and intellectual maturity, which is the main advantage of academic study.
