Outline Biography

I am a lecturer at the University of Sulaimani, Department of Politics and IR.  I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Sulaimani in peace in 2024, and obtained my M.A. in International Studies at the University of Sheffield in the U.K. My research has appeared in top scholarly journals including Ethnicities, British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, World Affairs, Journal of Asian and African Studies, Contemporary Review of the Middle East, Asian Affairs, and Asian Journal of Comparative Politics.

Research Interests

My research interest includes the following fields;

1. Security Studies, Kurdish Studies and Kurdish security affairs. 

2. Security and Military in post-conflict societies. 

3. Theories of International Relations. 

4. Peace in post-civil war
