My Philosophy in Teaching
My teaching philosophy stems from my belief that education is a collaborative process that goes beyond transmitting information to cultivating students’ critical thinking skills. As a faculty member in the Department of Economics, I strive to create an interactive learning environment where students can discuss economic issues and connect theoretical concepts with real-world contexts. I believe that students learn best when their ideas are valued and when the classroom encourages inquiry and analytical thinking.
In my teaching, I focus on integrating theory with practical application by using real-world case studies and examples drawn from both local and global economies. This approach helps students understand how economic models are used to interpret phenomena and support decision-making. I also work to diversify my teaching methods to accommodate individual learning differences, combining direct instruction with group discussions, analytical assignments, and data-based activities.
I consider the development of research skills an essential part of students’ academic formation. Therefore, I encourage them to use credible academic sources, analyze economic indicators, and build their conclusions based on sound methodology. I also believe in fostering a classroom atmosphere rooted in mutual respect—one that builds confidence and encourages initiative and active participation.
Ultimately, through my teaching, I aim to help students view economics as a tool for understanding real-world challenges and contributing to practical solutions for development issues, enabling them to become effective and engaged individuals in both academic and professional contexts.
