My Philosophy in Teaching
The student has the right to be taught in a best way, and as the teacher is the direct information source for the students, therefore, the teacher should improve his skills as best as he can and update his information in a parallel way with the developments occur in his field of specification.
Petroleum Geology Lab in the Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum/ Sulaimani University contains three important instruments which are very helpful in the teaching process and for academic research, they are:
Gas Porosimeter: designed and made by the american OFITE company to rapidly and accurately measure the effective porosity of a rock core sample.
Reservoir Permeability Tester: designed and made by the american OFITE company to evaluate how fluids affect the permeability of a core specimen. In addition, the unit may be used to evaluate acidizing techniques and to develop typical Acid Response Curves (ARCs).
Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/GCMS): designed and made by Varian Company. Its of a single quadrapole to detect the frequency of the components in hydrocarbons, water, and other fluid types.
