Outline Biography:
I am an academic clinician, with variety of experience. I am interested in pursuing research in neurological science, my particular area of interest is the relationship between motor function and cognition (sometimes referred to as Embodied Cognition); the type and extent of motor impairment in cognitive impaired patient and the type and extent of higher brain functions lost in cerebellar, basal ganglion and motor neuron diseases. In Pediatric neurology finding novel approaches to promoting/enhancing combined motor and cognitive skills in neurologically impaired/diseased (e.g. cerebral palsy) children would also be a great project to work on.
At the moment I am focussing on neurophysiology both teaching and clinical practice.
Outside professional life, I am married with one little girl.
I was born (1983) and raised in Sulaimani.
I enjoy reading, and particularly interested in the way that political economy and religions have shaped the history.
I am also keen on learning new languages, enjoy musicals/theatre and traveling.
