My Philosophy in Teaching
- Emphasis on the interconnected nature of agricultural ecosystems, recognizing the interdependence of soil, water, biodiversity, climate, human communities and other components. Encourage students to analyze and understand these complex and dynamic systems as a whole.
-Make use of various sources of information, including scientific evidence, traditional ecological knowledge and local/indigenous perspectives.
-Developing critical thinking skills is a priority, requiring students to think creatively and grapple with the nuances and ambiguities inherent in sustainable agriculture issues.
-Priority will be given to hands-on and problematic learning activities where students will be allowed to engage directly with sustainable agricultural systems and develop practical skills alongside their conceptual understandings.
-The basis of the lesson is a transformational agenda - the aim is to empower students to become agents of positive change, to reshape agricultural paradigms and contribute to a more sustainable food future.
