Outline Biography

Professor Aree Ali Mohammed is a faculty member specializing in multimedia networks, multimedia security, and computer vision. He holds a B.Sc. from Iraq, two M.Sc. degrees from France, and a Ph.D. awarded in 2008. Professor Mohammed’s research focuses on video and image compression, watermarking and steganography, adaptive video streaming, medical image analysis, and deep learning–based recognition systems. He has published over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers, contributing to advancements in multimedia processing and intelligent systems. He has supervised several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students in fields related to autonomous driving, computer vision, and real-time video analytics. His work integrates strong theoretical foundations with applied research to enhance modern multimedia and intelligent computing technologies.
