Assistant Prof. Dr. Alan Anwer Abdulla
Welcome to my Academic Profile.
My full name is Alan Anwer Abdulla. I am a lecturer and holding (PhD) degree in Computer Sciences from Buckingham University in United Kingdom. I also got a MSc degree from the same university. I am teaching at the Department of Information Technology - College of Commerce - University of Sulaimani-Kurdistan of Iraq. Currently I am supervising research of five MS.c. degree students.
I was a head of the Information Technology Department when it was established for three years.
I teach several topics at IT Department, such as:
1- Fundamental of Java Programming Language
2- Data Structures and Algorithms using Java
3- Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
4- Computer Graphics
5- Information Security
Also I teach Digital Image Processing for the Master degree students.
My Research interest focus on the following areas:
1- Digital Image Processing

3- Image Encoding
4- Multimedia Security and Information Hiding
5- Steganography and Watermarking
6- Biometrics Authentication Systems
7- Image De-hazing
8- Image Inpainting
9- Medical Image Processing
