IN-Vento 2020. UPDATE: Conference Cancelled - One-Day On-Line Event will be organized

Dear Colleagues,

in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic in Italy and worldwide, also in the light of the difficulties pointed out by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, the ANIV Steering Committee has decided to cancel the IN-VENTO 2020 Conference scheduled on September, 6-9 2020. The superposition with the regional conferences (EACWE) suggested us not to postpone IN-VENTO 2020 to 2021. The next IN-VENTO Conference will be held in Lecco, in 2022.

The Abstract submission procedure started for IN-VENTO 2020 is cancelled: the Authors are of course free to submit the abstract elsewhere, while a new submission procedure will be reinitiated for IN-VENTO 2022 at due time.

Nevertheless, ANIV aims at remaining a vital association founded upon the strength of its initiatives for future. In particular, ANIV intends to offer prospects to young researchers in Wind Engineering from Italy and abroad. With this in mind, a “One-Day On-Line Event IN-VENTO 2020” is being anyway organised.

Detailed information on the organisation of the event will come with a following communication. Here below please find some preview:

the “One-Day On-Line Event IN-VENTO 2020” will be scheduled for September, 7th 2020: save the date;

the agenda of the “One-Day On-Line Event IN-VENTO 2020” will include:

One invited lecture, offered by an outstanding young researcher in Wind Engineering

“ANIV Giovani Meeting”, together with a PhD Session

ANIV Award ceremony, together with oral presentation of the best papers

ANIV Members Assembly

ANIV AWARD 2020 ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues,

The Italian Association for Wind Engineering is calling for candidatures for ANIV Award 2020, to be remitted to a young researcher, Author of a scientific paper in the broad field of Wind Engineering, and published in an international journal from January 1st 2018 to December 31st 2019.

Candidatures should be submitted no later than June 30th 2020.

For details of the Award rules and submission process, please refer to the attached file.
