I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at the Sapienza University of Rome, carrying out both research and teaching.
My research activity focuses on the reliability analysis and Performance-Based Design (PBD) of structures under different hazards (earthquake, wind, explosion and fire) considered both separately and concurrently. All my research products contain non-linear and/or dynamic-stocastic (analytical or numerical) analyses of structures as a whole or single structural elements.
My research and professional consulting activities for structural design have, in recent years, strongly and mutually influenced each other. So, for example, the professional experiences I have had in seismic vulnerability analyses of structures have been carried out in full scientific rigour and by using state of the art methods.
I teach the course of Structural Analysis ad Design (Tecnica delleCostruzioni) at the Rieti branch of the Sapienza University of Rome, in the course framework of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Building Engineering, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering.
