I am Associate Professor in the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at the Sapienza University of Rome, carrying out both research and teaching.

Research activity:

- Performance-Based Design (PBD) of structures under different hazards (earthquake, wind, explosion and fire) considered both separately and concurrently. All my research products contain non-linear and/or dynamic-stochastic (analytical or numerical) analyses of structures as a whole or single structural elements.

- Energy Harvesting (EH) from structural vibrations and from airflows (wind turbines, simultaneous energy production and vibration control, self-powered sensors).

Teaching:

-course of Structural Design (Tecnica delle Costruzioni) in the course framework of “Ingegneria Civile”, and

-course of Steel Structures Design (Costruzioni Metalliche) n the course framework of “Ingegneria Civile”.
