Brief Biography :

Prof. Antonella Ingenito took her  PhD in Theoretical and Applied Science ( majoring Aerospace Propulsion and Combustion) in 2006 from the University of Rome La Sapienza under the supervision of Prof. Claudio bruno. Prof. Antonella Ingenito has been involved as PI and coordinator in sponsored research projects as well as in research-driven purely by personal interest. Sponsors have include two EU combustion and propulsion projects, LAPCAT (AST4-CT-2005-012282) (on supersonic combustion) and LAPCAT II (ACP7-GA-2008-211485) (on supersonic combustion and vehicle sizing), ESA, INTAS, Academic, Italian Ministry of Research (MIUR) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) projects and funded by ASI/AVIO Spa, GAUSS Srl and ENEA Research Centre. These sponsored projects include modelling of turbulent combustion for hybrid rocket propulsion,  combustion in supersonic airstreams with both hydrogen and hydrocarbon reforming products; aluminium combustion; cracking and reforming of hydrocarbon reforming products; she was also involved in a project dealing with sizing of hypersonic vehicles, environmental issues, green propellant. 

Since 2007 she teaches at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and she is a scientific advisor for Bachelor, Master Degree and PhD Theses. She is responsible for the Propulsion Lab at the School of Aerospace Engineering - Sapienza University of Rome. Prof. Antonella Ingenito has authored / co-authored over a hundred articles in journals, conferences and books, has won many awards and is a leading expert in Hypersonic propulsion and combustion.
